The results of polls on Lithuania's inhabitants trust in Lithuania's institutions, attitudes towards politicians, voting intentions have been published in daily "Lietuvos rytas" since 1998. Part of the results have been published in the publication of Social Research Institute "Lithuania entering the European Union: economic, sociological and demographic analysis of the situation" (2004): trust in Lithuania’s institutions: 1998-2004 and Lithuania's inhabitants' political preferences 1995-2004.
Since 1997 "Vilmorus" has been regularly surveying inhabitants' attitude towards the European Union. Part of the results have been published in the publication of Social Research Institute “Lithuania entering the European Union: economic, sociological and demographic analysis of the situation” (2004): attitude towards the European Union.
"New Baltic Barometer". It is a sociological research, carried out in three Baltic states at one time, concerning political attitudes and views towards economic reforms. The survey comprises about 200 indicators. The surveys were conducted in 1993, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, and 2004. A similar research ("New Democracies Barometer") is being carried out in all post-communist countries. The project head is Prof. Richard Rose, Strathclyde university (Scotland). Surveys regarding evaluation of situation of human rights and system for securing human rights (research of inhabitants’ tolerance, research on victimological experience & social safety, research concerning evaluation of status of people with disabilities) were conducted for the UNDP project "Human rights action plan".
